Lavender Lemon Iced Tea
Ingredients:
- 4 cups water
- 2 black tea bags
- 1/4 cup dried lavender flowers
- 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 2-3 lemons)
- 1/4 cup honey or agave syrup (adjust to taste)
- Ice cubes
- Lemon slices (for garnish)
- Fresh lavender sprigs (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Boil the Water:
- In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
- Steep the Tea and Lavender:
- Remove the saucepan from heat and add the black tea bags and dried lavender flowers.
- Let the tea bags and lavender steep in the hot water for about 5-7 minutes.
- After steeping, remove the tea bags and strain out the lavender flowers.
- Sweeten the Tea:
- While the tea is still warm, add the honey or agave syrup.
- Stir until the sweetener is completely dissolved.
- Add Lemon Juice:
- Stir in the freshly squeezed lemon juice.
- Cool the Tea:
- Allow the tea to reach room temperature, then transfer it to the refrigerator to chill for at least 1-2 hours.
- Serve the Iced Tea:
- Fill glasses with ice cubes.
- Pour the chilled lavender lemon iced tea over the ice.
- Garnish with lemon slices and fresh lavender sprigs if desired.
