Mint and Lime Iced Green Tea
Ingredients:
- 4 cups water
- 2 green tea bags
- 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves
- 1/4 cup honey or agave syrup (adjust to taste)
- Juice of 2 limes (about 1/4 cup)
- Ice cubes
- Lime slices (for garnish)
- Fresh mint sprigs (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Boil the Water:
- In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
- Steep the Tea and Mint:
- Remove the saucepan from heat and add the green tea bags and fresh mint leaves.
- Let the tea bags and mint steep in the hot water for about 3-5 minutes.
- After steeping, remove the tea bags and strain out the mint leaves.
- Sweeten the Tea:
- While the tea is still warm, add the honey or agave syrup.
- Stir until the sweetener is completely dissolved.
- Add Lime Juice:
- Stir in the freshly squeezed lime juice.
- Cool the Tea:
- Allow the tea to reach room temperature, then transfer it to the refrigerator to chill for at least 1-2 hours.
- Serve the Iced Tea:
- Fill glasses with ice cubes.
- Pour the chilled mint and lime iced green tea over the ice.
- Garnish with lime slices and fresh mint sprigs if desired.
- Enjoy:
- Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing mint and lime iced green tea!
