Blackberry Sage Iced Tea
This iced tea combines the sweet tartness of blackberries with the earthy, aromatic notes of sage for a truly unique flavor profile.
Ingredients:
- 4-6 black tea bags
- 6 cups water
- 1 cup fresh blackberries
- 1/2 cup packed fresh sage leaves
- 1/4 cup sugar (optional)
- Lime wedges, for garnish
- Ice cubes
Instructions:
- Brew the tea: Steep tea bags in boiling water for 5-7 minutes. Remove tea bags and let tea cool completely.
- Combine ingredients: Add blackberries, sage leaves, and sugar (if using) to the cooled tea. Let steep for at least 1 hour, or overnight for a stronger flavor.
- Strain and chill: Strain the tea to remove blackberries and sage leaves. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until chilled.
- Serve: Fill glasses with ice and pour over chilled tea. Garnish with lime wedges.
Tips:
- For a thicker texture, muddle the blackberries before adding them to the tea.
- You can use frozen blackberries for a sweeter and slightly thicker iced tea.
- Experiment with different types of tea, such as green or white, for a different flavor profile.
Enjoy your blackberry sage iced tea!
